Testimonials 2005 -2007

11/20/07 Hi Kitsy, Hope all is well and happy holidays. Just wanted to give you the good news that Rusty just earned his MACh!! It was very cool to finally get to that point. The speed was always there (he has enough speed points for MACh 4!!), it was justing getting those double Q's. The last half year he has not only been fast (actually faster than ever), but very consistent. I attached a couple of photos, one sporting his new ribbon, and one of him at work. Take care, Naci Berkoz, Rusty, Bulut, Trouble!
10/6/07 Hi Kitsy! Congratulations on your recent litter of 11 pups! Oh my! Looks like you're in for a wonderful time with all those sweet little puppy squeaks. I wanted to let you know that we are truly enjoying our puppy from your May litter, and my brother is just as charmed with her sister pup. They are both loving and always wanting to please. My girl, Izzy, is alert, smart, and always ready for a good game or a long walk/run. We are amazed at how quickly she has learned the basic sit, down, stay and will also offer her paw in a polite shake. She loves to chase and retrieve a ball, although we are still practicing the drop portion of this as she'd rather play the game of us chasing her for the ball. She loves to "herd" us around by pushing her nose against our leg, but she also walks very well beside us while on a lead. We are hoping to find a local trainer and enroll her in stock training because I think she would absolutely enjoy herself and find great pleasure in doing what she instinctively desires. Today she lost her first baby tooth and as you can imagine she loves to chew on just about anything we'll let her have. I'm attaching a couple pictures so you can see what lovely dogs you have bred for us and I wanted to thank you for all the laughter and joy that this marvelous young girl has brought into our home. Please give Cinder and Wrangler a scratch behind the ear from us. Sincerely, DeLys Bimer
9/18/07 Born on 12/15/06 – Black Tri # 3 Kona is doing great. She’s growing up to be a very gentle and curious little girl. I’m attaching some pictures to show you how she’s changed. I think she’s really looking like her handsome Dad =) She loves playing at the dog park with other dogs and really looks forward to meeting other people and dogs. She is very fast and extremely smart! The little bugger figured out how to open the back door if the dog door is closed. She’s being spoiled rotten and continues to amaze us every day with her antics. We’re still planning on training her for pet therapy and she continues to show us that she’ll be a good fit for that. 9 months … taken on 9-15-07 Thank you for breeding such a beautiful little girl. Sincerely, Lisa & John Clinton
9/18/07 Hi Kitsy, I thought you would like to see our beautiful dog, Jack. My daughter and I drove out to buy him the day before you left for your Alaska trip on July 5th, 2006. We have been so happy with him. He is not for show ,although he would have made a beautiful show dog, I think. He is a family dog and has a black lab mix sister who is 11. She has regained some energy out of necessity since they play all the time. Jack has a nice yard, sleeps with us on the bed, goes to the beach on weekends and to the dog park in the evenings. We love him and thank you so very much. He is full of love and kisses. Thanks, Sandy
8/18/07 Hi Kitsy, Hope this finds you well. Bode is about 9 months old now and he is doing great! We just took him camping at Trinity Lake (near Lake Shasta) and he loved it! Our other dog, Chester is more of a water lover, but Bode really liked riding in the boat. It was his first time at a lake or near water, so we think that as he gets more exposure, he will like swimming more. Attached are some pictures from our trip and one in our backyard. Bode is the alpha of the two dogs, as Chester has never been a real "leader". They play and pal around together. Bode is a pretty good listener: sits, lays down, we are still working on "stay," but he loves to play ball and frisbee and to go on walks/ hikes. He rarely barks, but when he does, it is usually because there is a deer on the other side of our backyard fence. he loves running the fence-line with them. Thanks for such a great dog. We love him!Best, Devin and Shana Reiss
8/6/07 Hi Kitsy, We are having so much fun with Reggie and Nettie. It hard to believe that Nettie has only been here a little over 3 weeks. We love her so much, she just fit right in. Reggie is being a "Good Big Brother " and watches over her. Where one goes the other follows. What a joy to watch them. I've enclosed some pictures, as you can see Nettie is growing, and my Reggie is so handsome. Thanks for the wonderful puppies. Bill, Jeri, Reggie and Nettie DeWitt
10/12/07 Hi Kitsy: I heard Feathers had a litter! I have Feathers brother Hurley and then got the two female girls Roxy and Bella (Bella originally was sold to my friends father but he couldn't keep her). My friend Kim Kreitzer was on your website because she is thinking of getting a second Aussie...she has a male named Moose who is about 1 1-1/2 now. He and my dogs hang out weekly as we have a mutual friend who takes our dogs hiking while we're at work etc. My kids always talk about Feathers. My younger son loved her and I told her you were keeping her. He'll be so excited to see the pictures on the website. Everyone compliments my three dogs all the time and asks where we got them. Our trainer has them out a lot and tells everyone about your website and what great dogs you breed. We are so happy you do. We love our Aussies. They are a huge part of our life and love our cat. The four of them together are so sweet. I hope all is well with you. Jill Espinola Coto De Caza, CA
8/3/07 Dear Kitsy, Just wanted to tell you how much we continue to enjoy Abbey (Mickey & Mikayla). She is your first entry under testimonials for 2002. Abbey is the love of our life. We are told often that she is the most beautiful dog people have ever seen. Abbey travels everywhere with us. We only frequent animal friendly establishments. This picture is of Abbey by the Golden Gate bridge when we were in San Francisco last February. Thank you for this gift of a dog who is bright, loving, and beautiful! Eric & Marci Slater
6/28/07 Hi Kitsy! Just wanted to tell you how much we enjoy that wonderful pup we got from you in October last year. Keeper is so true to her breed - in one of the photos you can see her 'herding' the wolfhound! She is everything that we hoped for - strong-headed and beautiful! Gunnar watched a herding demonstration last weekend, and noticed that all of Keeper's play behaviors are exactly what the herding dogs were doing in their work. He's thinking he may want to give herding a try. For now the two are working on obedience. They took one class with a local trainer who shows Aussies in obedience, and of course they were the class favorite. The trainer was surprised at how well-behaved Keeper was for Gunnar, considering that Gunnar is such a young handler and Keeper has amazingly strong drives. They tried a little juniors ring conformation handling, but that's just not Gunnar's cup of tea. My daughter may show Keeper in conformation though, because she is so flashy, and does love to show off. I included a shot of Keeper in the shower - she jumps in on her own! She is such a water dog, just seems to love it. She's probably wet at least once a day, either from jumping into the dogs' big water tub, or from getting underfoot when we're hosing down the patio. And the last shot is of Keeper running with Gunnar on his bike. Those two play all day, and really dote on each other. Just the way a kid and his dog should be. Hope all is well with you. Erin Jaffarian
6/20/07 Hi, Kitsy Here is a picture I took of Noah (Wrangler and Mikayla), on our last camping trip in 4/2007. I can hardly believe that we've had him for over three years now. He's such a sweetie pie, very smart, and, as you can see, very handsome. I hope all is going well with you over in your neck of the woods. Our boys are doing great, and Kirk is now in remission, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Wishing you a fun and relaxing Summer vacation, Michelle Radmore
1/4/07 Hi Kitsy, Its been quite a while since I've given you an update on Rusty. He is doing absolutely wonderfully. He is still as rambunctious as he was as a pup, but I like him that way. We've been mountain biking with Rusty and my border collie as of late and man is he fast. He can keep up with me no matter how fast I'm riding! Now for the agility. He's been doing really well in USDAA and he had a very strong showing at nationals. He'll be 5 in 2 months, but he's already achieved his Lifetime Achievement Award-Bronze level. He's actually really close to Silver. Okay, this is a mouthful, but these are his titles in USDAA. Agility Dog Champ-Bronze Tournament Masters-Platinum Standard Champ-Bronze Snooker Champ-Silver Relay Champ-Bronze Gamblers Champ-Bronze Jumpers Ch-Bronze He's been just a knockout in USDAA. He's actually the #3 26" Gamblers, #4 26" Tournament, and #10 26" Snooker dog for 2006. Pretty amazing guy. We pretty much have all of our scores for the AKC World Team Tryouts, so that will be exciting. I decided to pull out last year so I'm very excited for this year. Now for my boneheaded move of my lifetime. I thought that Rusty had his required 6 Double Q's for AKC nats as of 3 months ago. Turns out the first one was 2 weeks before the qualifying period and so we can't enter the nats. What a frustrating situation. Next year:( Anyways, thanks again for trusting me with Rusty, he's once in a lifetime. I attached some BW photos from a regional championship. Happy New Year, Naci Berkoz Rusty
12/31/06 Kitsy, Hope things are good with you and the dogs. Here are some pictures of the boys. AJ is from Torie and Wrangler's litter (12-25-04) and Jake (the black tri) is from Cinder and Wrangler's litter (5-12-06). They are great dogs. AJ has helped train Jake (what we have done). Jake loves his big brother and follows him everywhere. AJ thinks he is a great play toy. The one picture is from our trip to Cambria and they were wonderful on the trip. The trip was in August. We will be taking another trip with them shortly, probaly to San Francisco. Is Tori bigger then Cinder? It appears that Jake will be smaller and wider than AJ, but AJ is a tall, big dog. Their personalities are totally different. Jake is calm and reserved where AJ is social and much more active. They are great and we couldn't be happier. Matt and Missy Bright
12/17/06 Hi Kitsy: I wanted to give you an update on Hurley (born 12/4/04) and Roxy (born 6/4/05). But there's one additional piece of news before I begin. We now have Roxy's sister Bella (6/4/05) as well! Bella's original owner could not keep her as his goat was very jealous and became physical with Bella. The owner was my girlfriend's father. She told me the news and I decided I wanted to help find Bella a good home. Long story short... within the first hour I realized that she had already found her new home. Yes, we have three! We officially have a pack of dogs and we love them all! I get so many compliments on them from their looks to their wonderful dispositions. My husband has been named Santa Claus as he runs the three dogs 6 miles every morning. No one can believe how well mannered they are as they take their morning run. We do our best to spoil them daily. We run them, take them to the Sports Park here in the a.m. where about 8 of us meet daily to socialize the dogs. They go on hikes with us and short trips to Target etc. They are an integral part of our family. We want to thank you for providing us with these wonderful additions to our family. I can't imagine life without them! Here are several photo's of the pups! The Espinola's
11/4/06 Just wanted to give you an update on your tri color female #1, or Keeper as she is now known... She rules the roost, is mothered by our Irish Wolfhound, and plays with the 'grandma' mutt. She is just a doll, such a wonderful personality. Loves playing chase with her boy. She's signed up for her first obedience class in January. Attached are a few pictures of the dogs and their kids. Gunnar is just smitten! Erin Jaffarian
4/12/06 Hi, Here are pictures of Murphy, now that he is 2 years old. He is a great dog and we have lots of fun with him. He is from the litter of Wrangler X Mikayla. Just thought you would like to see him all grown up! Lucie
4/3/06 Hi Kitsy, Here is a picture of Toby's win yesterday. He now has 13 Points, with all of his majors! The judge was senior breeder judge Carol Ann Hartnagle of Las Racosa Aussies in Colorado. His next show is Memorial Day, so hopefully he will win one for his title. Hope you are doing well. Ursula
12/14/05 Kitsy, Hello. I hope things are well. We have A.J., who is from Tori and Wrangler's 12/25/04 litter and we must say he is a great dog. He is very social and loving to both other dogs and other people. He is pushing 65 pounds and still seems to be growing and filling out. He is doing agility down in Yorba Linda and seems to like it alot. We do have a couple of questions regarding a second dog. We would like to get a second dog and are planning on spring. We just love A.J.'s disposition and would love to go though you again. Do you know who you are breeding in spring? Can we be put on a waiting list? We would prefer a black tri but that is not set in stone. Do you have any opinions on boys or girls when having two dogs? Please let us know. Best Matt and Missy Bright
11/21/05 Hi Kitsy, I just wanted to give you the update on Ginger (2/25/04). We went back to Oregon at the end of October for a trial. Ginger placed second in standard novice and earned her NA title. We moved up to Open. She placed third in Open Jumpers both days. Just one more qualifying run in Jumpers to earn her OAJ. I am so proud of her. Sincerely, Cindy
11/18/05 Hi Kitsy, Here is a picture of Toby's from this last weekend. He was RWD at both shows on Saturday to majors and WD/BOS over 5 top winning specials on Sunday under SBJ Laura Shivers! Regi says he is showing better and better every time! He will be going to another show next weekend. I will let you know how he does. I hope all is well with you. Ursula Borg
11/14/05 Hey Kitsy, Long time since I've given you an update on Rusty (2-25-02). Like I said before he is one heck of a pup. We went to our second USDAA agility nationals this past weekend and met both of the goals I set. First he got into the semifinals for the Grand Prix (next year we'll keep the bars up and make the finals), and the second was to place in one of the Team events. He did that too, but he did it in style. Rusty is the 2005 26" Team Snooker Champion!!! He got first place, it was surreal. Again thank you for trusting me with Rusty, he's a once in a lifetime dog. 9/13/05 Hello Kitsy, I purchased Ginger from you last year. She was born 2/25/04 and was the runt red-tri. This is so you remember her. I just wanted to tell you what a great dog she is. I could not imagine life without her in it. People come up to me and tell me how pretty she is. I had two people come up to me at a local event last weekend and give me their phone number. They want a puppy if I decide to breed her. We have been taking dog agility classes since last October. At the end of July we entered our first trial in Ferndale. We did not qualify either day. Over Labor Day, we went to a three day trial in Oregon. Out of six runs (three standard and three jumps with weaves) we placed first in five. So at our second trial, she obtained her novice agility jumpers title (NAJ). We need one more qualifying run in standard to get her novice agility (NA) title. I am still walking on clouds. She is so smart, you would be proud of her. We are returning to Oregon at the end of October and hopefully we will obtain the NA title. Also, regarding her five first place runs, she had a 100% score on four and a 96 on one. That was due to going four seconds past the sanctioned time. She is one heck of dog. I have never had a dog that had puppies before. People like her size and drive. If you have any suggestions for a mate, please let me know. I might not even have puppies because I don't want it to ruin her jumping ability. We have only just begun the agility circuits. I have attached a picture of he Sincerely, Cindy Harcharik
8/16/05 Hi Kitsy, I was so saddened to hear about your husband. I am sure it has been very difficult for you. I send my condolences. I thought you might like to see a picture of Logan now that he is a year old. He is fun loving, energetic, and playful. We all love him so much. He has brought a lot of joy to the family. I will keep in touch! -Donna
7/28/05 Hi Kitsy, I can't believe that Maverick and Hobie will be 2 years old next week! They have certainly changed our lives--most days, for the better! They have some recent accomplishments to report: They have both completed their Novice Rally titles, and Maverick has completed his CD (with three first place wins in his first three competitions). He is such a quick, eager learner, and he always does his best to please me. Hobie has one leg toward his CD with a third place finish. He doesn't find obedience training as engaging as Maverick does, but when he puts his mind to it he does very well. We're beginning competition in agility, but taking it slowly, mostly for MY benefit since they're agile and I'm definitely NOT. I think agility will be Hobie's strong suit--he's a very powerful jumper and seems to love running the courses. Maverick is a bit of a "velcro" dog, but he's smooth and graceful when he runs. We took them to Lake Tahoe last week, and Hobie decided to swim for the first time. He had a great time fetching sticks--which Maverick, who thinks swimming is for ducks, promptly stole from him when he got to shore. I can't tell you how much joy these dogs have brought us. We receive so many compliments on their good looks and behavior (ah, if people only knew!), but what is most important is their loving hearts. Thank you so much for our two best friends! Chris Marki
1/20/06 Hi, Kitsy, I just wanted to let you know how Noah (Mikayla x Wrangler) is doing. He is a wonderful dog, and such a clown! He’s also very smart and a joy to train. He’ll be two next month, but he continues to mature and change. His latest trick is air-snapping while “puppy rugging”, which of course I think is adorable. He’s also very sociable with all of our guests or when we are in public, but loves to bark his head off when the mailman comes to the door. He’s great with the boys, and he sleeps most of the night on my oldest son’s bed. He does require adequate exercise or we know it (something (or things!) shredded to pieces in the middle of the night!), but his requirements are by no means excessive. I’m sorry to read on your website that John past away, and I hope that you are getting on okay with the entire ranch as your responsibility. My own husband has been diagnosed with cancer, so our lives have been somewhat chaotic over the past three months. Noah has been a great source of comfort, and I did take him to the hospital grounds for a “visitation” during Kirk’s last hospital stay. Noah is such a joy, and I want to say “Thank You” for breeding such great puppies. Regards, Michelle Radmore
3/1/05 Hi Kitsy, I wanted to send you a note on the progress of Cocoa. She is absolutely the silliest puppy. She made herself right at home when we got back to Las Vegas. Sharky is in heaven. She chases him all over the house and the backyard. They can go for a good hour. I really have to invest in a video camera, they are just hysterical. She has definitely shown Sharky that she is the boss. But then again he is a push-over. They have this game of teasing each other with the toys. She will get one out of the toy basket and parade it by Sharky, taunting him to come after her, then she runs as fast as she can to the bed and lays on top of the toy so he can't get it. Then he will do the same thing to her. Their most favorite thing is newspaper, paper towels or any kind of paper they can get their mouths on. Then it becomes confetti all over the house. Cocoa, hoards all the toys in her bed. Sharky has met his match, he can't keep all the toys to himself without a fight anymore. I can't tell you much we are enjoying her. She is the best medicine to cheer me and Sharky up after losing GiGi. I just love them both so much, I can't imagine life without them. Thank you for such great companions. I'll send pictures soon. Take care, Tawnia
1/20/05 Kitsy: We have named our blue boy (10-22-04) Old West Wrangler's Diego. He is doing well. It turns out I don't know as much about dog training as I thought, but we're both willing to learn. We are very pleased with Diego. All puppies are cute of course, but this one is gorgeous and he turns a lot of heads. He is friendly and well socialized with people. Less so with dogs as playmates are hard to find, so we enrolled him in SPCA puppy pre-school. I think he is more alpha than I expected, which is fine by me. He already has the basics learned: sit, down; potty trained (no accidents last two weeks); soft mouth. So far so good. Diego has a lot of potential and its up to me to help him realize it. There's not much to say about him right now, but I have high hopes of reporting some accomplishments in the coming years. Daniel Blackman Piedmont, CA.
7/26/05 Annie, (3-4-03), looks just like her Daddy, Reno. She has to go to sleep with her 'Booda' and is not as innocent as her picture! Annie has become the "Queen Bee" of the local dog park and with her cousin, Molly, herds every dog who comes into the park. No dog has the chance to catch a ball--the dog is herded away from his or her ball or Frisbee. She is very smart but still has a very stubborn streak when she has her mind on her goal. Annie also likes to snitch whatever Molly has. However, they have become the best of buddies and they are head turners wherever they go. We were asked the other day if we painted the spots on our Aussies. Annie has been and continues to be a joy. Linda and Reg Price
4/26/05 Hi Kitsy, here are the latest pictures of Luke at 4 months old. Every time I take him out for walks people are always commenting on how beautiful his color and markings are. I am very pleased with his development so far, his beauty and intelligence are everything I expected and more! Thanks for such a fine puppy! Michael Girard
4/18/05 Hi Kitsy - We thought you might want to see a recent picture of Diego. We think you'll agree he's growing into a very handsome dog. He has completed puppy preschool, puppy kindergarten and Obedience II at the local SPCA. We are now training him to carry a dog-backpack so he can hike with us. He learns quickly. He's only six months, and already he's a great dog! Loyal, attentive, rambunctious, curious, playful, and loads of fun. He is very people friendly and is frequently complimented on his coloring. With other dogs, he is outgoing and playful. When there's a tough dog around, he knows just what to do -- he hides behind me! One thing potential owners should know: this dog requires a lot of time. I spend at least three hours a day walking and training him (sometimes more). He sleeps about 12 hours a day. That leaves nine hours for all kinds of mischief... His favorite down-time activity is stealing my shoe and parading it in front of me. If I'm not paying attention, he'll pass by until I notice. When I ask him to return my shoe to the bedroom he does it! There is a whole lot more to say, but we don't like to gush. Look for more reports of Diego's adventures. Daniel Blackman Helen Hayes
3/30/05 Hi Kitsy, I am in the process of loading pictures and thought I would send you a couple that I found of Toby. These were taken in October. I will try to send you some more recent pictures when I can. Ursula Borg
3/14/05 Hi Kitsy, Here is AJ, one of Tori and Wrangler’s Christmas babies. Everything has gone smoothly since day one. Housetraining and sleeping through the night were both one day jobs. He has been pretty good with our three indoor cats, but their tails are getting more interesting everyday. He is so gorgeous and so friendly! He loves having people stop to admire him and is a bit upset if they don’t. He has met a few dogs and has played well with them too. We are just shocked at how quickly he grows and changes. We can’t wait until this summer when he can travel up the coast with us. Thank you so much for this wonderful addition to our family. Missy and Matt Bright
3/8/05 Hi Kitsy, here are a few pictures of Luke (Old West Cool Hand Luke) at 12 weeks old. He is doing great, we will start obedience class in a few weeks. He knows sit and down already and I am starting to work on stay, so he will probably be at the head of the class. More @ 16 weeks. Mike
2/26/05 Hi Kitsy - just thought I'd send you a quick note about Stormy and a picture (of course!). She's moved into our lives as though she had always been part of our family. She and Bear (our 6 yr old Aussie) have become friends. Stormy likes to tease him with toys and he lets her win. After a few days she was able to recognize her name when called. She's only had a few accidents in the house and today actually went to the door when she needed to go out. She's absolutely adorable. We'll keep in touch with her progress.
1/24/05 Hi Kitsy, I know it has been a long time since we have talked but I thought I would send you these pictures of Sadie since she is 10 years old today. She is the most wonderful friend that I have ever had. She has never been sick, she is always happy, and still turns heads cause she is so cute. This is in her new backyard and in the garage on my old chair showing off. She sleeps on our feet and is always with one of us night and day. Thank you so much for my puppy! We LOVE her so much! I hope all is well with you and all your pets. How old is Partner now ? Do you still show your dogs? Some how I stopped getting the Aussie Magazine so I have lost touch with all the shows etc. Love to hear from you Barbara Siemon
