Testimonials 2013 -2014

12/16/15 Hi Kitsy: Just wanted to give you an update on Mayday (Old West Stampede). She was born to do agility, no question. This picture sums up her first ASCA trial where she both Qualified and placed First in all 4 of her classes in the Novice division. and was Novice Hi in Trial. We started showing in AKC in August, and in 3 months she had titled out of Novice Jumpers with Weaves and Novice Standard, and also Open JWW and needs just one more leg in Open STD. She turned 2 on September 23 (Ransom x Bella) and stayed on the small side.......she measures 18" at the withers so she jumps 16" at trials. She has so much energy that I barely keep up! She loves everyone and isn't a barker, so I couldn't be happier with her. Bill, the other puppy we purchased, is now 2 as well (Ransom x Loretta born 11/26/13). He is my husband's constant companion and is so easy to have around........he's much more "chill" than Mayday. We each ended up with the exact dog we were hoping for. I'll send more pictures next year. Hope you have a peaceful holiday, Vicki & JF
12/1/15 Here is my love, Feathers, who I adopted from you after her last litter and retirement. She is still the sweetest and best companion. Her 11th? Birthday is coming up in the next couple of weeks and I thought you'd like to see how beautiful and healthy she is. I was sorry to see that you lost Reno as I fondly remembered him from my visit to pick up my girl. Feathers and I wish you a wonderful holiday season. Again I thank you so much for my pumpkin pie. She still loves to go to the barn and run around with all the other barn dogs and thinks rides in the car are the best thing (well maybe second after food and treats). Teri
7/17/15 Hi Kitsy, Bandit passed two herding tests and earned his first title, he really enjoys working sheep! Karl
7/8/15 Hi Kitsy, Hope you are enjoying your summer vacation. We are enjoying our summer with our two Aussies from Old West! The attached picture is of me with my new grandson and our Aussies Abbey (Sept. 2002) and Annie (April 2015) at my feet. These two Aussies love each other. As you predicted Abbey is teaching and training Annie. It is delightful to watch the two play. When I take them for walks they melt hearts everywhere we go! They are such dear and beautiful dogs. Thank you Kitsy, Eric and Marci
6/21/15 Hi Kitsy, Look what we did yesterday, Rally Novice B 2nd place. I am invited to the 2016 AKC Rally National Championship in March. The requirements is finishing your title during the qualifying period and must earned three scores of 90 or more.. Darcie's lowest score is a 92 out of 5 shows... I am so proud of this cute little girl..
6/2/15 Hi Kitsy, We just wanted to update you on the puppy we purchased from the litter born 3/1. We ended up naming her Teagan, she was the second blue merle girl from that litter. She's getting along well with Chance, the aussie we purchased from you in 2002, who is thankfully still with us and as smart as ever. Teagan has adjusted fantastically and is taking great joy in both running as fast as she can to dive bomb under and jump over anything in her way as well as finding new tiny crawl spaces to get herself into and out of. Shes going to make a great agility dog one day. Her markings are getting more interesting by the day, and she's fit into our pack better than what we could have hoped for. Thank you for producing such fine dogs. As Chance has shown us, they are truly lifelong companions. The Glass Family
5/8/15 I thought you would like a little update on Hunter. He is a black tri boy and was the last puppy to be sold from your litter born 3-1-15. He is doing well and crazy as ever! He is very smart and is learning to go potty in the right places. Here are a few pictures of him..... Donna Page
4/28/15 See Hey Kitsy, Denali's only been home like two days and just settled right in. She has the most awesome personality. Its like word for word the breed standard. She's just the chillest little pup. She positively LOVES her puppy size frisbee and brings it back and drops it all on her own. She's even almost got "sit" down after only one session. Everyone who's visited has remarked at her spunky, but polite behavior. Her only "bad" habit is she still puppy nibbles/nips sometimes but even that's going away already. She's definitely got her mom's sweet personality and her daddy's eyes. The blue appears to still be blue and she's even starting to get a faint little brown geometric split(?) on the top in there.(Its also uber cute that the blue eye has white lashes and the ambery one has brown). Pics are still kinda hard to get since she's either always moving or sleeping, but these were the best. Thanks Kitsy, Shannon Thaggard
4/27/15 Hi Kitsey, We had a good drive home. She was a little car sick, well, a lot of car sick but mostly was reassured when she was hugged and held. She dry heaved but never thru up. Poor girl. It is her second day and she is amazing Kitsey. Already wines a little to ask to go to her soiling area every time she needs to, accepts her kennel we have in the kitchen very well - she slept all night last night and she has this little whimpering talk she does.....very sweet. She's ready for bed around 730 and just sleeps through the night! She met the grandchildren today, one is three and one is 15 months. The puppy liked the 15 month old because she could get away more with chewing on her, very funny. The three year old wears her out. Mattie was guarded the first day, but has suddenly, today, started accepting her really well. The puppy follows her and Mattie faithfully follows us so it works out great. And, last but not least, this pup fetches. She fetches the mini frisby we got her. We live a block from the ocean so many passerbys see her in the driveway and oogle at her and she loves it! We put a makeshift barrier across the driveway. Such a smart, happy, well adjusted pup. What a little precious girl. Your hard work with these dogs surely shows. Thank-you, DeeDee and Dan
3/29/15 Hi Kitsy Attached is a photo of bandit at 11 months. I think he looks a lot like Reno. I've started him on sheep herding lessons and he's doing quite well. He's a very quick learner and enjoys the activity. Karl
3/23/15 Hi Kitsy, I wanted you to see what a beautiful girl Aubree (Ransom and Jinx) grew up to be; she will be a year old next month. She adores her “big brother” Brinkley (Wrangler and Gretchen) is super-duper smart and into everything! She has such a fun, energetic personality; we really love having her as part of our family. Take care and have fun with those new puppies, Tom & Carrie
10/24/14 Hi Kitsy - Just wanted to send you a quick update on Blue and Sky. They are 11 months old on Sunday and we can’t believe it has almost been one year. At last weigh in the were both just over 50 lbs. The are super friendly and love the dog park. We have been doing some training and they know how to sit, stay, wait and we are working on heeling. It is wonderful to send them out with our boys for a walk and know they will be well behaved. They love chasing squirrels at the local park and hiking in the hills near our house. The most surprising thing we found is how much they love swimming. They take a dip in our swimming pool every day and will go sit on the step after a long walk to cool down. Everyone that sees them comments on how beautiful their coloring is and I tell them how they look just like their mom(Loretta) and dad(Ransom). Thank you so much these wonderful dogs. We love them tons. Amy, Paul, Connor and Cade
8/30/14 Hi Kitsy, Bandit is 27 pounds now.He started puppy training class yesterday. He loves people and most of the dogs he meets. He knows sit, watch, down and touch commands. In this photo, he's waiting for a chip in a dog friendly restaurant. We take him out as much as possible to get him socialized Thanks for such a great dog! Karl Matthews
8/7/14 Hi Kitsy, Just wanted to check in and let you know that Elvis is doing great. He has a great personality and is always ready for an adventure. He is a big boy weighing in around 50 pounds all muscle. He loves going to the beach and loves the water. Everywhere he goes he makes new friends and is the standout dog. Thanks again for Elvis! Joe & Candice & Elvis
7/28/14 I wanted to give you an update on our 2 pups........they are almost dogs! I'm attaching two pictures.........one is from late February when Mayday was 5 months and Bill was 3 months. The "grownup" picture is from today, so Mayday is 10 months and Bill is 8 months (they are actually 10 weeks apart). Mayday has remained quite petite, while Bill is much bigger all around. They both have wonderful temperments and make friends wherever they go. I've started foundation fundamentals for agility with Mayday and she shows great promise. Bill is the most wonderful companion dog for my husband. We love our Aussies! Will keep you posted, Vicki & JF Ernenwein
4/27/14 Hi, Misty Blue keeps getting more beautiful and sweeter the older she gets. She has more energy than any dog I've ever seen and loves every person or anything else that she encounters. All the neighbors love her and come by to take her for a walk. She runs next to John's wheelchair about a mile twice a day. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful friend. Sally & John
2/6/15 Hi Kitsy, We spoke a few weeks ago. I have a 13 year old Aussie that I got from you. His name was Scout. Now Kobe. He just starred in his first commercial! We are looking for a tri male. Can I put down a deposit for your upcoming litter? I can't wait to love another dog as much as I love this one! Valerie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TovNE5OIywY
12/8/13 Hi Kitsy, Just a note to let you know that Mitzi is sooo sweet and smart. She’s doing well in puppy obedience, knows sit, down and come, and will be taking her final class next week. Then we’ll move on to puppy agility. She has already been exposed to the equipment and seems to like it. I hope all is well with you. I follow the website and see that all of the puppies in Mitzi’s litter are gone and several of the remaining litter. That’s good. Merry Christmas. Mike
7/27/13 Hi Kitsy, It's been awhile since we've adopted Feathers and I just wanted to give you an update before I'm back in school and busy. she is happy and looking great. Her coat has grown back from her last litter very full and luxurious soft like a plush toy. she had lost a little weight with our guidance but now with all her fur I'm not sure. she is now playing with the pack (when my daughter brings over her aussie, newly adopted dobie, and foster chihuahua). and our boxer mix. She runs and chases them barks and wrestles with the rest of them. at first she grunted and tried to mother the10 year old chihuahua who wouldn't have any of it and now runs with the big dogs. she sleeps with us on our tempurpedic bed and is a typical aussie, right by my side at all times. she loves to go places with me in the car and enjoys her daily walks with my husband and the boxer. I am truly, in love with her, she has all of the great aussie traits but with a calmness that some aussies don't have. everyone who sees her exclaims how wonderful she is. Thank you again so much for letting her come into my life. As my daughter likes to tell me every time I see her, feathers is the perfect dog for me, she is everything I ever wanted and more and I hope she feels the same with us. She is the center of our home and thoroughly spoiled. Teri
4/2/14 Hi Kitsy, Here are recent pictures of Monkey butt. We are still fighting with ears, she wants her ears to stand up. I am thinking I am going to settle with a little bit higher ear bent. (One of picture's you can see what I am talking about). Her obedience is coming along. We are heeling and learning we can move the back paws and not moving the front... 3/30/14 Hi Kitsy - Just wanted to send you a quick photo to show how big Blue and Sky have gotten. They have completed all their shots and have been out for walks this last week. They are so smart and learn so quickly that it is very easy to walk them. They have met some big dogs and some small dogs and behaved really well. Their personalities are as you remember. Sky is much more willing to go out and figure things out while Blue stands back a bit to check out the situation. He lets her do the scary stuff and then follows. :-) She outweighs him by two lbs. She is 30 and he is 28. We will be starting a training class soon to work on more of the basics but we are enjoying every minute. Hope all is well. Best Regards, Amy & Paul Sechrist
3/25/14 Hi Kitsy, Haven't sent an update in a while. Quigley is doing great and loving life. He loves to swim regardless the weather and is quite the frisbee catcher. There is never a dull moment with him around. Hope you are doing well. Teresa Lewis
12/10/13 Hi Kitsy, I just want to share with you that Destry (from Feathers and Wrangler) got his CD title this weekend. He got 1st Place all three times he showed. We are working towards his CDX. He is just such a wonderful boy and really enjoys training and competing. It's really fun to work with him and he is such a lover. I've attached 3 photos from his wins. I'll also forward some photos of him working as a Therapy Dog and Reading Education Assistance Dog "READ". He can do it all, we also started on K9 Nose Work. He can find my car and my husband car in a parking lot with hundreds of other cars. Everything is fun for him to learn. Thank you so much for breeding such a wonderful dog. Keep that blood line going. Regards, Gwen Fiorito
11/23/13 We are in love with this dog-his name is Rocky—"Old West Legend of the Rocks” He is doing great, sleeps with us without any problems, Freddy does too and hazel in her bed beside my side of the bed. all are getting along fine.
2/22/13 Hi Kitsy, I just thought I’d share some birthday photos of Bailey. She is getting along well, still chews a lot but it’s getting better. She weighs 62 lbs. She is definitely a part of our family. Shelley, Bill & Whitney
2/21/13 Dear Kitsy, The past two and a half weeks with our new family member Cooper have been great! We have so much fun playing with him in our backyard and he has fun chewing on whatever is in front of him. He is learning ‘no’ and that he shouldn’t bite especially from his cousin dog, Rocco, who likes to pin him to the floor when he does. We even started teaching him ‘sit’. He loves a good belly rub and can even fall asleep on his back after having one! He loves to play in the water whether it’s the sprinkler, a puddle, or his water bowl. He also loves to dig in the sandbox. Everyone who sees him loves him and thinks he’s adorable. The vet even said he was a ‘good looking guy’. (Just weighed in at 18.1 lb) If you give him a kiss, he’ll sometimes give you one back! Or a bite… you take your chances. He has grown so much in so little time and loves to eat! We can’t wait to take him on trips to the beach and wherever else we may go! Tell Feathers thanks for us! We can’t wait to see Bella’s new litter as well. We’ll keep sending you updates on Cooper! Doug, Karen, Douglas, Stephanie, Matthew, and Cooper
2/2/13 Kitsy, Roxy is home and doing great. We had no issues on the ride home. We could tell that she was going through a little separation anxiety in the beginning but she has settle in now. She was panting a little while in her bed but that has stopped. She has used the bathroom but only outside. She went #1 and #2 in the grass exactly where we want her to go. We just gave her a bath and she LOVED IT!!! Michelle used the blow dryer on low and no issues with the dryer or her bath. She is a wonderful puppy. You sure know how to breed them. Keep doing what you are doing. We are so happy we got one of Feathers final litter. I hear you breed Bella. I will keep an eye on your website to see her puppies. Here is a picture of Roxy in her bed with her blanket. We will keep in touch and let you know how Roxy is doing from time to time. Thank you so much for our wonderful family puppy. Jeff Eiberger
