Testimonials 2008 -2009

12/1/09 Hi Kitsie, hope your doing well. Just wanted to send you a note and some photos of our wonderful "Max" who turned 1 year old today. He's a bundle of joy and energy and has made a wonderful addition to our family. He didn't like the Birthday hat too much but we let him chew it up afterwards !!! LOL We'll send you some additional photos with Max and the kids next time.
August 4, 2009 Hello Kitsy! It has been a very long time since I’ve written. Shark and Cocoa are doing great. I just saw the pictures of the latest litter, wow 11 pups! All are absolutely gorgeous. One day I will be back for a black tri; as soon as I get some land. I've sent you some recent shots of my two kids. They really have turned out lovely. Shark is coming up on his 6th birthday on the 21st. And Cocoa will be 5 on Christmas. I can't believe I've had them this long. I hope all is well with you. Sincerely Tawnia, Sharky & Cocoa Las Vegas
Septemper 19, 2009 Dear Kitsy, It's been awhile, wanted to let you know that Lash (Born 12/12/04 to Willie and Amanda) has matured into a fine handsome dog whose good traits are many and who receives many compliments from friends and strangers alike. He has all the best aussie traits, curiosity about everything going around him (He always pushes ahead and looks into ever cupboard opened), spreads love everywhere he goes, listens and pays attention, makes friends with everyone he meets, the list goes on. He loves his hikes in the desert around our North Scottsdale home and can keep up with my husband who is training for a Mt. Whitney hike. His favorite job his keeping track of the coyotes that like to tease him on the other side of the fence. He has been rattle snake trained and has warned us of their presence 5 times over the last 4 years. When in California, he loves his dog beach on Coronando and our last visit had him herding three Great Danes. His exceptional coat gets him compliments from most other Aussie owners we meet and I always mention who the breeder was! I love visiting your site to see the latest puppy litters and am hoping when Lash turns 7 we will be able to get another puppy. Thanks for the dog love of our lives, Audrey, David, Tyler, Spenser and Sonora
6/9/09 Today is Midna's (Old West Midnight Rider, from Reno & Cinder) first birthday. It's hard to believe how fast the year has gone and how grown up she looks compared to the 10 lb fluff ball we picked up from you. We still call her Midna Bear, a nickname we gave her in the first few weeks home. To "attack" Link, our 5 year old Lab/Husky mix, she would rear up on her hind legs to reach his face and paw at him with her teeth showing like a little black bear. Midna is very intelligent and friendly. She loves to meet people on our walks, greeting them with a big smile and whole rear end wagging. She plays with Link daily and has many friends at the dog park. At home she follows us around and tries to "help" with everything we do. She's such a great addition to our family and brightens every day. Laura, Jon, Link & Midna
4/8/09 Dear Kitsy, We have a 5 year old Australian Shepherd that we got from you. His dad was, Wrangler and his mom was, Mikayla. His name is, Koachella Fire Dancer Bear Claw Starbuck. But we call him, Koa. He is the smartest, politest, most willing to please, most beautiful, handsomest dog ever born. We Love him! He has 36 acres in Ojai to manage. There are coyotes to keep track of, quail to chase, rabbits to...., squirls to .... hunt, beds to jump on, trails to investigate. And then there's the beach. We want to thank you for helping us find the best Australian Shepherd ever to have been born! Keri, Charlie, Lucas, Michael and Koa Starbuck
1/6/09 It's been almost 10 years now! - and I've moved from Catalina to San Diego and married - but I wanted to let you know that Brisco County Jr. is the most treasured, loyal and loving dog ever...And a similar to boot. I was so sorry to see that his mom, Amanda, died. He totally has her personality - goofy and sweet, not a mean bone in his body. Thank you so much for the my best friend. Laurie Udarbe Clausen
12/30/08 Hi Kitsy, It’s been a long time, but I wanted to send you a note and a pic of Fozzi (Hot Rod X Tori). This photo was taken this November and he’s proven not only to be an amazing companion but also an amazing family dog…we now have a two year old son. We’re hoping to add yet another Aussie to our brood this spring/summer and hoping you’ll have some puppies! Happy New Year! carolyn corley burgess
12/10/08 HI Kitsy, Here is a TV commercial that the Aussie I have from you (born 9/15/05 Wrangler and ?- only 2 pups in the litter) was in with Whitney Thompson, "America's Next Top Model" winner. It is for Cover Girl. I think he kind of stole the show. I have a large file of pix to send you detailling his life as a wonderful dog friend. If you still do testimonials, I am happy to send some along to you. He is just wonderful. Very independent, kind and smart, so handsome. I hope all is well with you and your business. I have some great shots of him in Montana @ 11 thousand feet where the famous 'Cloud' mustang herd is and many many others. He had a thrilling time chasing wild antelope in the middle of nowhere in Utah this summer. I photograph wild mustangs in their natural habitat and he enjoys being out there. I'll look for those pix if you are interested in any more. Thank you for such a great dog. By the way, he never chewed up things, ALWAYS woke me up to go outside to go to the bathroom even as a puppy, is great with other dogs and cats and kids. My son is 8 and he and his friends have always rolled around with Zorro and he is Happy holidays, Cynthia Smalley
11/11/08 Hi Kitsy, I keep meaning to email you about our wonderful dog Scout. I don’t think it would be possible to have a better companion and best friend than our dog. I know everyone probably feels that way about their Aussie! He is beautiful and has the best disposition. Your advice was right about not getting two at once and waiting until he was older, especially since he was my first Aussie puppy. He was in the Wrangler and Cinder’s litter of May 12, 2006. We are thinking of adding one more in the summer of 2009, when he is three. So we will be in again touch then. He loved his agility and obedience classes and performed well. I hope to take him to sheep herding this year. He has such a strong herding instinct! We walk the horse trails here everyday and he can go off leash with his pals. He loves to keep them all in line and if one strays he is right there bringing them back to the pack. He is also a great Lacrosse player! He is the perfect companion for our son and the most loyal friend to him. I hope you are doing well and I see that you will be busy with two litters this December. I can’t wait to see the pictures of the new puppies. Thank you so much for raising wonderful Aussies and letting him be such a special part of our lives! The Staver Family
8/9/08 Kitsy, We just wanted to send you a note and some photos of our red-tri and Feathers daughter Ginger. She is a wonderful and gorgeous dog--full of spirit and personality. Also, as a Partner great-granddaughter, she reminds us often of our first dog Hope--a Partner daughter. We look forward to seeing you at Mountain View this year, and my nephew Josiah most likely will have you as a teacher. Our daughter Caroline will be in the seventh grade. Blessings, Brian and Jen Peterson
7/16/08 Hi Kitsy- I hope all is well with you!! Sitting here, it has occurred to me that I haven't updated you on Chiefy in a long time! I can't believe he's 11 years old! He's as happy as ever, and looks great! He has been my rock lately with my mom's declining health. I can't thank you enough for letting him come home with me! I still remember that fluffy little guy...Where the heck does the time go? Health wise, he's been pretty healthy.. lately though he has had an issue with his back, and we've thought a couple times it was 'the end'. Dr Modglin is a god send, and she keeps our Chiefy going and pain free with acupuncture. He is a 'star' and the logo dog for our business. People are shocked that he is a REAL dog <G> and everyone is excited when they meet him! I've attached a pic of the logo...Also, last year we celebrated Winters 12th Birthday, and Chief attended of course <G> I'm attaching that pic as well. Thanks again for our Chiefy boy! 6/22/08 Hi Kitsy, Just thought we would send a picture of Chloe at 6 months (Old West Fields of Clover). She was the only Black tri girl from Cinder’s November 07 litter. As you can see she is stunning and smart as a whip! Just as you predicted she is a dominate personality and a force of nature! We are waiting for that famous "Aussi off switch" to come on-line. She loves the beach any kind of water and our ageing Border Collie, Allie. She is a wonderful dog and we are so happy we found you. Thank you again, Heather Malone Coronado, California
6/3/08 Hi Kitsy, We thought you would enjoy seeing what a beautiful young adult Matuka turned out to be. He has such a sweet personality and is truly a “lap dog”. What a great Ausi! Blessings, Bill, Grace, Wil, Jake, & Sydney Egan
5/16/08 Hello Kitsy, It's been over six years now since my wife and I picked up Victor (offspring of Cinder and Partner) from you. He has been a wonderful addition to the family and is doing great. I have attached a picture of him at the beach. Kind regards, --Dan
5/13/08 Hi Kit....In August 1993 we brought home one of Partners sons and called him Roy. He was my personal best friend for 14+ years until his recent passing. You've probably guessed he's the one under my right arm. I love all my dogs but Roy was a one in a lifetime find. Thanks. What character and playfulness and love right up till the very end. We had a great time together. One of these days I may come to you for another. Phil Slimko
3/9/08 Hi Kitsy, Just a quick note (and another gorgeous photo) to let you know how Kona is doing. She is the sweetest little girl. At almost 15 months she has a wide variety of tricks she’ll perform. She’ll give a great ‘high 5’ and speaks on command. Her sit/stays and down/stays have become quite handy for posing her for pictures. She learns everything very quickly and is so attentive and always eager to please (or do whatever menial trick we’re trying for a treat). *giggles* We recently taught her to play dead! She is just too adorable! She’s still very gentle and has been on several pet therapy visits. I have been volunteering with her through the Saddleback Valley Humane Society and she’s doing really well with it. Soon she’ll be taking her Canine Good Citizen test and then hopefully moving on to Pet Partners. Everywhere I take her people always compliment her and tell me what a beautiful face she has. Of course, how can I disagree? =) She loves people and does great with children. I’m really looking forward to seeing your next litter (hoping it is another Feathers/Wrangler pairing). I am very interested in adding another one of your puppies to our family and giving her a little playmate. Thanks again for entrusting this beautiful girl to us. Lisa & John Clinton
